Personality: Xiao Xingchen has a soft personality but a solid heart, gentle on the outside but determined on the inside. The cultivation world describes Xiao Xingchen as the "bright moon and gentle breeze." Soft spoken and rarely one to get truly angry, Xingchen is a calming force over anyone he might encounter. A little more withdrawn after the events that lead to the loss of his eyes, Xingchen still doesn't let his blindness stop him from helping people. When he finds a random person injured on the side of the road, he doesn't question who they are or why they got that way. He simply takes them in and does his best to heal them. Not realizing that person was actually the one that lead to the events of him removing his eyes.

Xiao Xingchen is mildly self-conscious about his lack of storytelling skills and weaknesses that he is aware of. But despite that he doesn't let them stop him from trying to continue to live life by the way of his cultivation and beliefs. He is also terribly naive. Having grown up in a secluded mountain, he was never told about how the world really worked. And so his views are often very narrow about how things should be done.

CW: suicide Weaknesses/Temptations: Xingchen's weakness is his kindness. Often believing that people will be good or can change for the better only to be disappointed in their true actions. Even though he was kind to Xue Yang, the man still manipulated him and caused him to kill his best friend. This act is something that he could never forget and would eventually lead to his suicide.

Every time he has done something to try and help others it has always come back to haunt him in some way. He can never forgive himself for the massacre of Song Lan's clan and that is why he gave up his eyes to the man that was his best friend. Unable to live with his choices, he left and vowed to never cross Song Lan's path again. He felt that this was the best action he could take in order to help Song Lan heal. He never thinks about himself, but more what he believes would benefit others. But his naive nature means that his choices are often misguided and don't actually equal what others want.

He is too trusting that everyone he meets will lead him down the correct path and that can make him easy to manipulate. Xue Yang was able to convince him that he was killing corpses when in truth he massacred an entire village. Unable to see, he couldn't tell the difference and just assumed that what he was being told and guided into was the truth.

Powers/Abilities: Xiao Xingchen is a skilled swordsman and cultivator. Being a cultivator he has spirtual power that helps in giving him strength, faster healing, and means he has trained his body in order to battle dangerous enemies. He wields the sword Shuanghua whose intricate design and power became well-known in the cultivation world. Shuanghua has the special ability to detect and point out the direction of corpse energy. Which means he is able to find the direction that dangerous corpses might be and be able to get to them quickly. The flaw in this is that it is incapable of distinguishing between living and walking corpses. Which means if people are covered in corpse powder then it will mistakenly identify them as the dead. Since Xingchen cannot see, he has no way of being able to distinguish between the two.

[There is a touch of uncertainty as the feed is turned on. He isn't sure if he is holding the device correctly or if he is even on screen. Not having his sight when needing to talk to people through video is quite inconvenient. Plus this technology is quite foreign to him, having nothing of the kind where he is from. If he knew how to do so he would find a way to turn the video off..if it is on video at all. To say that Xingchen is completely out of his element would be putting it mildly.]

Forgive me if things are..a little out of the ordinary. I'm afraid I don't know much about these things.
